Mr. William Wyverngreen

The character I chose evolved from the aristocratic dragon in an earlier post.  My teacher said the aristocratic dragon didn't have much to work with, so for some reason it evolved into a victorian like actor in which further developed into a Chairman of an English Music Hall.  They were the Master of Ceremonies, The M.C. of the night introducing performers, actors, and a comedian and performer himself often times messing and playing along with the audience.  I enjoy it cause i get to channel my chairman character from The Mystery of Edwin Drood into some of this.  I thought the expressions could be great as well because acting had to be broad back then.  I further developed that his wings would also be his arms so he is a Wyvern Dragon which the wings enhance the silhouette.  A classmate said it would be cool if the wings hanged like cloth creating flow and designed in a cape-like fashion. I sort of borrowed a bit of Orson Welles jaw and cheeks figuring he would have a great booming voice like the Great Orson Welles and very flamboyant and eccentric personality like the Wizard from the Wizard of Oz played by the great Frank Morgan. The idea was approved.  We will have to make an environment for this character so a stage will be my next task after building the character.

  1. LOVE him!
I would definitely make his colors less saturated, though. Maybe a sort of brownish green for the skin and a darker purple and red.
